A Live Reading with Alan Sklar

Author Lawrence Block’s story Hilliard's Ceremony centers on Alan Hilliard, an American foreign service officer working in the US embassy in Togo, West Africa. He has a fine life, a good marriage, and enjoys his work . . . so he says.  A visit to a local African “witchdoctor,” however, results in a poignant tale of personal growth.  Alan Sklar, professional voice actor and narrator, will give a live reading of this wonderful story.  Registration begins January 27 via the library's Web site.
