THE GOOD FATHER, by Adrienne LaValley (Peekskill, NY.)- A family with generational bipolar disorder and what happens when that goes unchecked, allowing every new generation to be deeply affected in their own way. It sheds light on the decades of irreparable damage that can be caused by choosing to keep silent about a family’s mental illness. Shame and fear perpetuate the idea that hurt people, hurt people. Paramount Hudson Valley Arts is delighted to host the Dramatists Guild Footlight Series DG Footlights™ a program, created and moderated by the Dramatists Guild, that connects dramatists with space in which to hold a public reading of a new work that is currently in development.
